Wood that is manufactured by bonding together wood strands, veneers, lumber or fiber to produce a stronger and more uniform composite is referred to as engineered lumber.  It does not require the use of mature growth trees and typically results in less production and job-site waste.

Engineered wood products are used in a variety of ways, often in applications similar to solid wood products. Engineered wood products may be preferred over solid wood in some applications due to certain comparative advantages:

• Because engineered wood is man-made, it can be designed to meet application-specific performance requirements.
• Large panels of engineered wood may be manufactured from fibers from small diameter trees. 
• Small pieces of wood, and wood that has defects, can be used in many engineered wood products, especially particle and fiber-based boards.
• Engineered wood products are often stronger and less prone to humidity-induced warping than equivalent solid woods.

All our transoms are reinforced with steel gusset plates insuring stability of your unit in handling and installation.  Also, all doors are shipped with protective skidder boards as shown here which allow you to hand your door safely as you transport it prior to installation. These boards are easily removed and discarded prior to installing our doors.  We use the scrap wood like this for your skidders and it makes great fire wood when you are done with it.

Super sealed
All units are front and back beaded with automotive quality silicone to prevent water seepage through our frame and water damage to unseen parts of your door unit!  We chose this automotive sealant which is used when installing sunroofs in cars.  This silicone is most expensive, but unchallenged by any residential silicone resisting water and ultra-violet damage.

On our optional mahogany wood sills, we seal the bottom of the sill with polyurethane so you do not have to.  This offers you peace of mind against hidden water damage.

Millworkforless is a small group of individuals with over 80 years combined experience in the building materials profession.

Our vision is to bring a fine offering of quality millwork products to discriminating buyers. 

Our careers in supplying construction material and millwork spans over 30 years.  We are three individuals two of whom grew up in lumber yard and millwork supply firms.  Working as children, albeit reluctantly at times, as teenagers and as career professionals at the completion of our formal education.  In just that period radical changes have occurred in building regulations and practices.  It was disappointing as the years passed to see the construction of homeowners dreams being encased with artificial product saturated with architectural flaws and compromises. 

The beauty, durability and flexibility of wood millwork is simply not attainable with synthetic resins, pvc, steel and fiberglass. 

Just in the last 10 to 12 years  a surge in the use of non-wood products, especially in doors and windows, has been staggering. Clearly, we felt a loss as the texture, character and even aroma of natures wood was disappearing from our modern dwellings.  We felt compelled to exclusively offer and  provide high quality millwork products as we are inspired to infuse the product, service and value into fine millwork to insure the position of fine millwork in modern construction.. We wanted to make this our only business and not just a sideline offering to other commodity building materials.  Our vision was that we would provide hassle free expertise and personalized products which had been relegated to obscure, high priced options from other industry suppliers.   

Our passion is in providing unique, warm and creative wood entry systems and other select
millwork products.  It is the baseline for all the services and selections we offer.
